Though Camp Read-A-Lot will remain open only from Thurs., 3/2 – Fri., 3/17/2023, it is our sincere hope that scholars’ discover or rekindle a passion for reading and the impact of supporting programs at Hazelwood made possible from this fundraiser will last forever.

What is Camp Reads-A-Lot:
This is a virtual event & fundraiser that is designed to encourage all scholars’ love of reading while celebrating literacy in all the amazing places one can go when they open a book (or e-reader), hear a story, etc.
Let’s Do a Quick Gear Check Of What We Will Need To Make This Trip One To Remember:
- Encourage scholars’ creativity & fun with Spirit Week Theme Days, Mon. 3/6 through Fri. 3/10:
Spirit Week themes, and calendar details below. - Log All Types of Reading Minutes Thurs. 3/2 – Sun. 3/12
Examples: Reading to self, partner reading, someone reading to the scholar, as well as listening (ear reading) to audio-books or stories online! - Sign scholars’ reading log(s) & return to school by Mon. 3/13
- Consider making a donation to the Hazelwood PTSA through Fri. 3/17
Complete the webform below to make a donation of any amount through one of two ways:
–>PayPal: Complete the PTSA Read-A-Thon webform entering the amount and clicking “donate now”, you will then be redirected to the official PayPal website to complete the donation funds transfer.
–>Off-line: Complete the webform to let us know we are every dollar closer to our goal, then please drop-off or mail your donation to the Hazelwood Elementary, ‘Attention Hazelwood PTSA’.

Are there Read-A-Thon prizes that can be earned? YES! Reading & Fundraising Reward Prizes:
- Class with the most Reading Minutes on their Logs:
- Special Classroom Experience
- Donations reaching/exceeding fundraising thresholds:
- $10,000: Every class at Hazelwood gets $25 in books
- $15,000: Every class at Hazelwood gets popsicles & an extra recess
- $20,000: Every class at Hazelwood gets a special mystery guest reader to come to their class
