- The Golden Acorn is an award presented to a volunteer in recognition of his/her dedication and outstanding service to all children and youth in the school community. An outstanding educator could be a teacher, assistant, custodian, bus driver, administer, or community member.
- The Outstanding Advocate Award recognizes an individual for their advocacy work on behalf of children and youth. This person would be dedicated to all children and would demonstrate commitment to helping create strong policies related to the health, welfare, safety, and education of children.
With each of these three awards, recipients receive a pin and a certificate and a contribution is made to the Washington State PTA Financial Grant Program in their name.
To nominate individuals, complete the nomination form and return to the Awards/Scholarship Committee via the PTSA mailbox in the main office. Copies of the nomination form are also available outside the PTSA office and in the Staff Lounge.
