Hazelwood teachers have you covered! Join us for Parents’ Night Out on Friday, April 18th from 6-9pm, where our trusted Hazelwood staff will provide a fun and safe evening for your little ones while you enjoy a well-deserved break for just $25 per kid (open to Hazelwood students and their school aged siblings)!
Kids will enjoy games, activities, and supervised playtime, giving you peace of mind to relax, dine out, or catch up with friends. If you need ideas, the PTSA is hosting an optional Parents Mingo & Mingle event at the Mustard Seed from 6:15-8:45pm. Whether you’re a music aficionado or just love a good time, this event promises laughter, lighthearted competition, and great company.

Definitely not! Anyone in the Hazelwood community is welcome to attend the PTSA general membership meetings but in order to vote on important measures in the meetings, you will need to be a paid member. These forums are a great place to get updates on what’s happening at our school and provide feedback or ideas on how to make the Hazelwood experience the best it can be. We would love to see you there!
Before you volunteer, you’ll need to complete a background check with the Renton School District. That’s it! It only takes a few minutes to complete. If you plan on volunteering in the classrooms at any point this year, we recommend filling this out as soon as possible so you can be ready to help when needed.
Yes! We just require that those people volunteering in the classrooms complete a background check through the Renton School District before volunteering. Anyone is welcome to attend our community events!
