Get Involved: Active & Upcoming Outreach Events & Programs

The PTSA Is Committed To Serving Our Hazelwood & Surrounding Community: 

How the program works:
PTSA works with the school principal, nurse, counselor, and staff to find needs within the school and Hazelwood community. PTSA provides funding and volunteers to implement appropriate programs to meet those needs.

During the 2022-23 school year, the PTSA Community Outreach events and associated grants will support a variety of causes including:

  • CARE Closet: a Community Assistance & Resource Effort (CARE) Closet is a confidential resource managed by the school. It is stocked with backpacks, clothing, coats, shoes, and other supplies. For more information click here.
  • School Clinic: emergency clothing and underwear.
  • Weekend Food Packs: bags of easy-prep, kid-friendly food is sent home to recipients each weekend and during school breaks.
  • Donation Events: Coat Drive, Treats for Troops, Toy Drive, etc.

The PTSA welcomes your program suggestions, ideas for related community resources, and of course direct PTSA financial or gift-in-kind item donations that could be used to help support our community at large!

Would support be helpful for your scholar & family, or do you know of a need?
To refer yourself or another family for any of these resources, please contact your classroom teacher or Mr. Jones, the school counselor at 425-204-4564.

No Identifying Information Is Ever Shared.
The PTSA is committed to upholding the right to privacy of all scholars, families and individuals.  Any Community Outreach initiatives that are in support of individualized needs, are respectfully facilitated through a collaborative PTSA & School partnership where only the specific request of need is shared. No personally identifying information is ever shared between the two distinctly separate organizations.
